Unconditional love and companionship are just two of the countless benefits when adopting a new cat. Cats are easily trained, independent animals that make a great pet for almost any family dynamic. When bringing home a new cat for the first time, make sure to give them a small, comfortable space of their own like a spare bedroom or laundry room to get used to the smells of your house. Visit your cat frequently, bring treats, and supply food and water (kept away from the litter box!) to help ease the transition for your new friend. When your cat seems ready to explore, let them do so on their own time with the room available as a safe haven. Within no time your cat should be the new ruler of the house!
