March is National Craft Month, which means that it’s a great time to start a new project. Not feeling inspired? Then let the library help you find the perfect craft for you through the Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center! This online resource contains magazine articles, books, and videos on 140 different types of crafts including crafts for kids. The information in the Hobbies and Crafts Reference Center covers everything from the traditional craft of sewing to model shipbuilding and robotics. You’ll find ideas for new craft projects and articles that give advice on how to better pursue your favorite craft.
Need a quick idea for something new to try? This month, the library has a class on how to do your own Zentangle doodle and there’s still time to sign up! All you need is a 4 in x 4 in sheet of paper and a pen. We’ll show you how to create your own Zentangle artwork, and discuss how creativity can improve brain health.
If you have questions about Hobbies and Crafts or our upcoming Zentangle program, feel free to reach out to a reference librarian through our online form or by email. We’d love to chat with you about any of the library’s online resources, and help you get signed up for one of our classes.
Happy crafting!
