Congratulations to the Covington branch team "Lost in Books" for winning the 2019 Battle of the Books! In fact, Covington would have had the trophy no matter the outcome of the final battle. Both teams made it to the finals! "Guardians of the Galaxy" came in a very close second. As Buster from I Love You Michael Collins would say, "holy moly!" The competition throughout the tournament was stiff. All of the participants trained hard and did well. The "Space Toilets" from Mandeville won both Best Team Name and Best Costume. The "Cosmic Crusaders" won for Best Sportsmanship. In all, nine teams participated in over 30 rounds of book trivia.
