Summer Reading Challenge 2024

Kick Off Parties, Guide, and the Challenges!

Summer Reading Challenge (SRC) is almost in full swing. This year the Library's theme is "Adventure Begins at Your Library." To start off the adventure, two kickoff parties will be held on both the east and west sides of the parish. On May 23, the Slidell Branch (555 Robert Blvd.) will start off the celebration and the second event will be on May 24 at the Madisonville Branch (1123 Main St.). Both parties are from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Those attending the parties will receive prizes, and enjoy crafting events and listen to performers such as The PopRocks and the Northshore Chapter of the American Harp Society. For animal lovers, St. Tammany Parish Government Department of Animal Services will be on-site with knightly pups with an adopt-a-thon!

No registration is needed for the parties, but to receive SRC prizes, patrons must register for their age group's Summer Reading Challenge. You can register online using Beanstack or in person at your favorite branch.
