The St. Tammany Parish Library launched a new website, online catalog and events calendar on October 11.
The new website is attractive, up-to-date and full of information about all that the library has to offer.
The new online catalog works like Amazon, Google and Goodreads. Smart search allows you to search for “new movies” and actually get new movies just like Amazon. If you spell something wrong, the catalog will give you a “Did you mean. . .” suggestion just like Google. Lastly, the new catalog is social and allows users to rate and review library materials as well as reading reviews of other library users.
The events calendar groups together similar types of events for ease of discovery. It is also fully searchable.
