Members from the Pontchartrain Astronomy Society will set up their telescopes for all ages to view different aspects of the moon during International Observe the Moon Night from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 20, at the Madisonville Branch, 1123 Main Street.
International Observe the Moon Night is a worldwide celebration of lunar science and exploration held annually since 2010. One day each year, everyone on Earth is invited to observe and learn about the moon together and to celebrate the cultural and personal connections we all have with our nearest neighbor.
The event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome to attend. Registration is encouraged.Register online or call the library at 845-4819.
