The Library is partnering with the St. Tammany Art Association and their spring show titled Il•lus•trate to celebrate the art of illustration with children and teens. The Library will offer three programs featuring authors and illustrators from the STAA's exhibit at the Covington Library, 310 W. 21st Ave.
Il•lus•trate: Story and Craft for Preschoolers at Covington Library
A story and craft featuring the book The Book that Wanted to be Red by Jerica Guillory. from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 21. After Ms. Guillory shares her book, children will make a craft led by Ms. Gumbo. Register online or call the Covington Library at (985) 893-6280.

Il*lus*strate: Video Game Illustration Workshop for Teens (12-18) at the Covington Library
Bring your creativity and join special guest game designer and illustrator Shiho Pate as she leads this one-time workshop on the process of designing a home screen for a video game, including the main character, play button, background and logo at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28. Pate, an illustrator for Cartoon Network’s online games, is one of five illustrators from around the country participating in il-lus-strate, an exhibit on view from April 14 to May 26 at the St. Tammany Art Association as part of their Spring For Art.
