February is a month for hearts! American Heart Month focuses on getting and staying healthy. And Valentine’s Day focuses on the love we feel with that beautiful organ. We'll be celebrating both with fun events:
Love Rock Painting for Valentine’s Day will let adults paint a beautiful rock to take home or leave around town:
- From 10-11:30 a.m. on Valentine’s Day, February 14, at the Causeway Library, 3457 Hwy. 190, Mandeville.
- From 2-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, at the Pearl River Library, 64580 Hwy. 41.
Good Fuel for a Healthy Heart is a presentation for all ages in partnership with the St. Tammany Parish Hospital Parenting Center. Marlise Eschete will talk about current cardiovascular heart health trends in Louisiana and provide diet and exercise information for participants from 1 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20, at the Covington Library, 310 W. 21st Ave.
