Purpose
The St. Tammany Library was established in June 1950. This year, 2025, commemorates the library’s 75th year anniversary. For 75 years the library has grown from a handful of small standalone branches to a fully connected system of 12 branches across the parish.
To celebrate this monumental milestone, the library is holding a design contest to select our limited edition 75th Anniversary Library Card.
Theme
We are looking for designs that showcase the community and history of St. Tammany Parish.
Designs should:
- Highlight Library Services
- Share the love for reading and learning
- Celebrate the Library's 75th anniversary
Guidelines
- All submissions must be original creative artwork by one individual.
- One entry per patron.
- Contest is for all ages.
- Must be a resident of St. Tammany Parish.
- Design must be appropriate for all ages.
- Entry Forms can be downloaded here, opens a new window or a paper version can be acquired at a local STPL branch.
- If submitting a digital design, a vector file is required of 300 dpi and at the size of 2 1/8 inches by 3 3/8 inches (2.125 in by 3.375 in). A filled-out Library card design contest form must still be included with the submission. Design with submission form can be emailed to publicrelations@stpl.us.
- Design submission must be submitted at a branch by March 8, 2025.
- By submitting an entry form, the submitter agrees to the Creative Design Release.
Judging
The top designs submitted (that have followed all guidelines) will be voted on by patrons like you. Voting will take place inside branches and online from March 10 through March 22.
The winner will be reached and announced the week of March 24, 2025.
Creative Design Release
I certify that the attached submission to St. Tammany Parish Library Card Design Contest is my or my child’s own original creative work.
I give permission for St. Tammany Parish Library to reproduce creative works resulting from my (or my child’s) participation. I understand that the purpose is to promote the Library and its services/programs. I give permission with the following understanding: no compensation of any kind will be paid to me (or my child) at this time or in the future for the use of my (or my child’s) creative works. The St. Tammany Parish Library reserves the right to modify creative works resulting from my (or my child’s) participation to conform to the dimensions of the library card or to accommodate text. I may not use creative works resulting from my (or my child’s) participation in the STPL Card Design Contest for commercial purposes without the approval of the St. Tammany Parish Library.
