Lacombe Replacement Branch

Lacombe Replacement Branch

From Branch to Branch

The current Lacombe branch, opens a new window was opened in 1993 and has an area of 1,600 square feet, sitting at 28027 Hwy. 190, Lacombe, LA 70445. Currently, the Lacombe branch has no study or meeting rooms, and patrons' needs have outgrown the structure of the current building.

In July 2025, the Library held two community input meetings to hear what the people of Lacombe wanted in their new replacement library.

From those meetings, some takeaways included a meeting room, study rooms, and a structure that ties in the beautiful nature of the Lacombe area and the St. Tammany Trace.

Planning Phase

The architects for this project, RCL Architecture, L.L.C., presented preliminary designs to the public and the Library Board of Control during the December 15th Library Board of Control Meeting.
